What Trojan is and why people choose it

Trojan is an American manufacturer specialising in deep-cycle batteries: the kind that are discharged and recharged every day, rather than the kind that only start an engine. It is the long-standing reference in golf carts, and from there its use spread to aerial work platforms, industrial cleaning, off-grid solar, marine and caravans.

People choose it for a practical reason: its 6, 8 and 12 V formats are a common size in this equipment, so replacing the set is usually straightforward, with the same voltage, the same tray space and the same terminals. Even so, we always confirm it from the label on your current batteries or the machine’s data plate.

Trojan battery ranges

• Flooded deep-cycle lead-acid. The classic range, home of the T-105 and its siblings. It has caps for topping up with distilled water and copes well with daily work when it is looked after properly.
• Maintenance-free AGM and gel. Sealed: no topping up and no spills. They suit machines that work indoors, boats, caravans and anywhere nobody is going to check the water. They need a charger with the right charging profile.
• Lithium. Less weight, faster charging and no maintenance. Before switching, you need to check that the charger and the equipment are compatible.

Most requested Trojan models

These are the manufacturer’s nominal values. When we quote, we confirm the exact reference for your equipment and the current alternatives.

Equipment we supply Trojan for in Málaga

• Golf carts and buggies, and supply to golf courses and communities replacing several sets at once.
• Scissor and boom aerial work platforms.
• Industrial scrubber-dryers and sweepers.
• Electric forklifts and pallet trucks.
• Off-grid solar installations, with 12, 24 or 48 V banks.
• Caravans, motorhomes and campervans, as the leisure battery.
• Boats: house supply on board and electric motors.

Maintenance that extends their life

This applies to flooded Trojan batteries.

• Distilled water, after charging. Top up the level once the battery is charged, and only with distilled water.
• A full charge after every use. Don’t leave it half charged or flat for days: nothing ages these batteries faster.
• Clean, tight terminals. A corroded or loose terminal heats up, loses voltage and ends up damaging the connection.
• Don’t mix new and old batteries. The most worn one drags the others down and the set performs like its weakest unit.
• Replace the whole set. In series they all work together: they are replaced together and with the same reference.

How to ask for a quote

Send us these details by WhatsApp or give us a call:

• What the equipment is: buggy, platform, scrubber-dryer, solar installation, boat or caravan.
• The system voltage: 12, 24, 36 or 48 V.
• How many batteries it takes.
• The current model, or a photo of the label.

We supply traction batteries ourselves; if a reference is not in stock, we bring it in to order: ask us about lead time. We deliver in Málaga and along the Costa del Sol, and we collect and recycle used batteries at no charge. If you are a company, workshop or maintenance contractor, apply for a trade account.

If Trojan does not suit because of format or availability, we also work with Varta, Rolls and TAB as deep-cycle and traction alternatives. Call us on +34 952 31 01 18 or message us on WhatsApp and we’ll give you the options for your equipment.
