The Dynamic SLI range is VARTA's conventional starter battery for cars without a start-stop system. It replaces the old Blue Dynamic and Black Dynamic ranges, which the manufacturer unified under a single name when updating the portfolio.
These are lead-acid batteries with PowerFrame® grids, an expanded grid technology that reduces corrosion compared to conventional grids and maintains conductivity throughout the battery's life. They come sealed and maintenance-free: there is no need to refill water or check the electrolyte level.

To make the right choice, you need three pieces of information: the capacity in ampere-hours, the cold cranking current, and the position of the positive terminal. If your car originally comes with an EFB or AGM battery because it has a start-stop system, do not go for Dynamic SLI: the start-stop system requires a battery prepared for cycling.
Dynamic SLI replaces the old VARTA Blue Dynamic and VARTA Black Dynamic. VARTA unified both lines under a single designation when renewing the portfolio in 2026, so a battery that was previously ordered as Blue Dynamic now corresponds to a Dynamic SLI of the same capacity and cranking power.
