Critical specifications

Telecom batteries are front terminal (terminals at the front, not on the lid) for 19" racks. Typical depth: 280-410 mm. Nominal life: 10-12 years on float at a constant 20°C. In Málaga, with cabinet temperatures above 25°C in summer, real life is 5-7 years.

Maintenance

Annual check with a dedicated tester (Midtronics CTU-6000) that measures internal impedance without disconnecting the bank. That is what we recommend to maintenance contractors: it detects faulty cells before they fail on float.
