Emergency lighting batteries in Málaga
Spanish building code requires periodic testing and replacement of emergency lighting batteries. Málaga hotels, offices, businesses and communities must keep emergency lighting operational per CTE DB-SI 4 and UNE-EN 60598-2-22.
Battery types
90% of installed emergency lights use NiCd 2.4V/3.6V/4.8V/6V, 0.8-4.5Ah. Newer use NiMH (same topology, higher capacity, RoHS).
