The Optima brand
Optima is a US-born brand, now part of the Clarios group, famous for its SpiralCell technology: instead of flat plates it uses pure-lead cells wound in a spiral within an AGM construction. The result is a sealed, leak-proof, maintenance-free battery with far greater vibration resistance than a conventional battery, and one that can be mounted in almost any position. It is the choice for demanding uses: 4x4, off-road, high-power audio, competition and marine.

Optima lines
- Optima RED TOP — high-power starting. For petrol or diesel vehicles in standard use that need strong, reliable cranking without heavy draw while parked.
- Optima YELLOW TOP — dual purpose (starting + deep cycle). The pick for 4x4s with accessories, powerful audio systems, winches, builds and vehicles with heavy electrical demand; it handles deep discharges and repeated recharges.

Buying and fitting Optima in Málaga
Málaga Baterías is an authorised Optima distributor. We work without an appointment: we test and fit in about 15 minutes, with a prior free Midtronics battery check to rule out the alternator or a current drain. We handle recycling of your old battery and every battery carries a legal warranty under Spanish law RDL 7/2021. If your installation is unusual (position, clamping or terminals), we review it with you before fitting.
