OPTIMA, SpiralCell technology from the Clarios group
OPTIMA is Clarios' high-performance range based on SpiralCell technology: sealed pure lead cylindrical cells in AGM. It is completely leak-proof and maintenance-free, and its construction makes it practically immune to vibration and deep discharge.
It is identified by the color of the top — red, yellow or blue — which indicates its use: starting, dual purpose or marine. All share the same spiral cell; the internal configuration changes according to the application.

OPTIMA RED TOP
Use OPTIMA's SpiralCell technology: six 99.99% pure lead cells wound in a spiral and sealed in AGM. That construction gives it a very high cranking current, vibration resistance up to fifteen times higher than a conventional battery and the ability to be mounted in almost any position without spilling.
The OPTIMA RED TOP is a pure starting battery: delivers the maximum cranking current to start the engine powerfully, even in cold or with the battery slightly discharged. It is recognized by its red cover.
