How the test works

We use a professional Midtronics MDX-650 tester (the same one used by official dealerships and premium workshops). The full check takes 3 to 5 minutes:

1. We clip the leads to the terminals (no need to remove the battery).
2. We input the nominal CCA for your vehicle.
3. The tester runs a cold conductive test that measures internal resistance and simulates a real discharge.
4. Within 5-10 seconds it produces a technical verdict with four key data points.

Exactly what we tell you

• SoH (State of Health): remaining health percentage. Below 60% is time to replace.
• Measured vs nominal CCA: if it delivers less than 70% of nominal CCA, it will not start in cold weather.
• Internal resistance: sulphation indicator. Above 10 mΩ means a degraded battery.
• Open-circuit and on-load voltage: 12.6-12.8 V at rest is a healthy battery; below 12.2 V is flat.

With those four data points we honestly tell you whether you need a replacement, a recharge, or simply another year of normal use.

When you should come in

If you notice any of these symptoms, drop by without an appointment:

• Slow or "lazy" cranking, especially on cold mornings.
• Dim dashboard lights or flickering when turning the key.
• "Check battery" or "Start-Stop unavailable" message on the cluster.
• Central locking or windows slower than usual.
• The battery is over 4 years old (in Málaga, due to the warm climate, batteries last 3-5 years on average).
• You are about to travel long distance and want peace of mind.

No booking needed. Drop by C/ La Orotava 100, 29006 Málaga, Monday to Friday 09:00-14:00 and 16:00-19:00. If the result shows your battery is fine, we will tell you without selling you anything. It is our way of building trust for when you actually need a replacement.

If the battery does need replacing, we advise based on your exact vehicle spec (Ah, CCA, AGM/EFB/conventional, polarity, dimensions) and fit it on the spot with BMS coding if your car requires it.
