The brand
VARTA: the battery your car already came with from the factory
VARTA belongs to the Clarios group, the world's largest manufacturer of starting batteries. Its German plant produces the AGM range that comes as standard in vehicles with Start-Stop and regenerative braking energy recovery.
The commercial name of the car ranges changed in 2026 —Blue Dynamic and Silver Dynamic became Dynamic SLI and Dynamic AGM— but the references and specifications remain intact.
The range
VARTA Dynamic AGM
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology keeps the electrolyte retained in a glass fiber separator instead of free liquid. This allows it to accept very fast charges — essential for harnessing energy from regenerative braking — and withstand up to three times more cycles than a conventional battery. Being sealed, it allows installation in the cabin or trunk.
Dynamic AGM is VARTA's high-performance range for cars with start-stop systems and regenerative braking. It is the evolution of the well-known Silver Dynamic AGM.
The product
The VARTA battery A11 offers a capacity of 45 Ah and a cold cranking current of 370 A according to the EN standard.Measure 236×126×224 mm.Position the positive terminal on the left.It is designed for vehicles with Start-Stop system: AGM technology accepts fast charging from regenerative braking and supports continuous starting and stopping without degradation.
Buy and installation in Málaga
In Málaga we install it ourselves. If you are in the capital or in the province you can come to our workshop and we will change it for you right away, with the old battery removed for recycling and the vehicle memory preserved.
Is this battery suitable for a car with a Start-Stop system?
Yes. It is a AGM technology battery, the one required by vehicles with Start-Stop and regenerative braking energy recovery.
Can I install it if my car has an EFB?
Yes. An AGM covers and exceeds the performance of an EFB. What should not be done is the opposite: installing an EFB where the manufacturer specified AGM.
How do I know which battery is equivalent to the one I have?
By the European ETN code of the label, which defines capacity, starting performance and format. Two batteries with the same ETN are equivalent, even if the commercial name changes.
Which way is the positive terminal facing?
The positive terminal is on the left, looking at the battery front on with the terminals towards you.
