The key to OPTIMA is the purity of lead. A lead with 99.99 % allows a very tight spiral winding that multiplies the active surface area and reduces internal resistance, so it delivers more starting current and accepts charge faster than a conventional lead-antimony battery.

OPTIMA RED TOP
Use OPTIMA's SpiralCell technology: six 99.99% pure lead cells wound in a spiral and sealed in AGM. That construction gives it a very high cranking current, vibration resistance up to fifteen times higher than a conventional battery and the ability to be mounted in almost any position without spilling.
The OPTIMA RED TOP is a pure starting battery: delivers the maximum cranking current to start the engine powerfully, even in cold or with the battery slightly discharged. It is recognized by its red cover.
