The brand
VARTA Professional LiFePO4, power supply for services
The VARTA Professional LiFePO4 range is a lithium service battery: it powers the on-board consumption (refrigerator, lights, electronics) with high useful capacity and a weight much lower than lead. It is not designed to start the engine.
Lithium iron phosphate allows for many more deep discharge cycles than lead and maintains stable voltage during discharge, making it ideal for caravaning, leisure boating and solar installations.
The range
VARTA Professional Li-Ion Deep Cycle
Uses LiFePO4 chemistry, the most stable and safe lithium variant for leisure installations. Compared to an equivalent lead battery, it weighs around 60% less and takes up less space, allows thousands of cycles instead of hundreds, and enables almost the full nominal capacity to be used, while with lead it is advisable not to go below 50%. Integrates a BMS that protects against overloading, deep discharge, short circuit and out-of-range temperatures.
The Li-Ion Deep Cycle range is VARTA's lithium service battery. It does not start engines: its function is to power on-board consumption with deep daily discharges.

Can I start the engine with this lithium battery?
No. This LiFePO4 is for service: powers the on-board consumption with great useful capacity and low weight, but it is not designed for engine starting.
How many deep discharge cycles can it withstand?
Much more than a comparable lead battery, and maintains stable voltage during discharge: that's why it is ideal for caravaning, leisure boating and solar installations.
Which way is the positive terminal facing?
The positive terminal is on the right, looking at the battery front on with the terminals towards you.
Do you install the battery in Málaga?
