Your car's brand determines which battery it needs. In the VAG Group (Seat, Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, Cupra) and the German premium brands (Mercedes, BMW, Mini), AGM with mandatory registration dominates; in Stellantis (Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, Fiat) the CMP platform uses EFB/AGM with coding via OBD; the Renault Alliance (Renault, Dacia, Nissan) relies on EFB and hybrids with a 12 V auxiliary; and Toyota runs its HSD hybrid, where the 12 V is auxiliary and does not crank the engine. We sort it out in store, registration included, with no home fitting.
