Bear in mind you will lose stored settings and some models will ask for a radio code. - Starting the car for five minutes once a month achieves nothing: the start consumes more than the idle puts back. Which technology your vehicle needs If your car has Start-Stop , it needs EFB or AGM, never a conventional battery: the system performs hundreds of restarts a day and a standard flooded battery is destroyed within months. EFB means reinforced plates; AGM has the electrolyte absorbed into glass fibre matting, handles cycling far better and is what vehicles with energy recovery normally require.
